Blossoms on Black // Late Summer Blooms

Romper: H&M Coachella // Bag: Harrods London // Shoes: Lulu's // Choker: Francesca's // Lips: Ofra Cosmetics x MannyMUA in Hypno

Long time, no post!  I'm sorry for the weeklong gap in posting- I'm trying, I swear!  This past week has been absolutely insane and jam-packed with a ton of major events: some fun, some less than fun.  I'm sitting here at 10 PM on a Sunday, typing up this post right now, because I really want to update you all on all the major stuff that's happened in the past week.

My fall semester started on Tuesday.  I'll admit, the first day was a little rocky.  I'm pushing myself harder than I ever have with my courses this year, and I'm already feeling the brunt of the workload.  But oddly, despite having literally no time to relax or do anything fun, I'm kind of liking that constant feeling of being busy.  Do I miss not being stressed out 24/7?  Yeah, totally.  But it kind of feels good to be productive and turn up my work ethic.  To cap off the business that was this week, I started at my new internship on Saturday.  I absolutely love it!  Thankfully it's pretty flexible to my schedule so I can work around classes and other obligations.  So yeah, that's how busy I've been this week!

Happy Monday loves!  Here's to another productive (and hopefully all smooth sailing) week!

Summer Stripes + Starling & Ivy

Top: Kate Spade New York // Bag (): Starling & Ivy // Jeans: Rag & Bone {altered} // Watch (): VOTCH // Bracelet (℅)Kristine Lily // Shoes (): Wills Vegan Shoes // Glasses: Dior

This outfit incorporates some of my favorite pieces from this summer that I'm in love with right now, starting with this gorgeous bag.  I love the minimalistic structure of it, and the simple gold detailing that makes it look so luxurious and streamlined.  It's the Onyx Mini Crossbody from Starling & Ivy, an amazing indie company that specializes in gorgeous and ethical vegan bags.  This one is a black canvas material, which I feel so much more comfortable carrying around on a daily basis because I know that it's easier to clean and keep looking nice.  I definitely recommend checking out their gorgeous line of bags, you're sure to find an amazing everyday bag like this one!

This bright Berber striped peplum top is everything right now for me- such a summer piece.  Kate Spade always nails it on her summer collections, and this top is just so stinking cute.  And if you're a little confused about the first picture, those are my new glasses!  I took them off for the rest of the pictures, but I wear them for reading and distance, and it's been a while since I've last worn glasses (not since 4th grade!)

Roses in Late Summer // 70's Inspired Look

Top: Forever 21 // Skirt: Brandy Melville // Bag: Anthropologie // Sunglasses: BP // Shoes: BC Footwear {love these ones too} // Belt: H&M

I don't really have too much to say today!  Life has been pretty mundane- I've just been staying in, filming for my beauty channel (please check it out if you're interested in makeup!), and finishing summer assignments before my semester starts next week.  I do have to give a quick shout out to my sister, who I kind of swiped this top from for this outfit.  I love the 70's inspired vibes that these billowy sleeves are giving the whole look!  I did a 60's inspired look a few months back with the same skirt too.

Hope your Monday was lovely and you had a relaxing weekend!

My End-Of-Summer Wishlist

I absolutely love this little eyelet tank from J. Crew!  Purple is my favorite color and I love the soft lavender color contrasted with the eyelet lace.  Such a cute piece, and the tie shoulders are a really nice touch.  One of the best pieces I've seen from J. Crew lately!

This terracotta toned rose pink is so on trend right now.  I love the strappy back details on this dress.  Wrap dresses are flattering on pretty much everyone, and the high-low hem gives it a dreamy touch.  I love the fluttery shoulder details as well!  This is perfect for a summer soiree.

I've been super into fun denim pieces lately, and between the braided details and the bow back, I'm absolutely in love with this crop top.  This would be so pretty with a flowing maxi skirt or high waisted miniskirt, or even the shorts in the set above.

KJP is one of my favorite stops for gorgeous pearl jewelry pieces.  I own two of their bracelets and this one is a welcome addition!  Kiel uses glass pearls and really high quality materials to craft his jewelry.   I think this one is an instant classic and very versatile.

Needle & Thread is one of my favorite brands for formal dresses.  They produce the most intricate, well-detailed pieces like this gorgeous lace embroidered dress.  It also comes in a maxi version that goes to the floor, but I love the more modern feel of this shorter midi dress.  It also comes in black.

Yellow is such an underrated color, am I right?  This top definitely says "summer sunshine" and it will stand up to the summer sunshine's heat.  Off the shoulder is perfect for really hot weather and the eyelet details add visual appeal.  I would wear this with jeans and shorts alike.

First things first, this is absolutely stunning.  The price tag is a bit too exorbitant for me (hence why it is on my wishlist and not my shopping cart) but I'm head over heels for the soft floral chiffon of Zimmermann's "Mercer" floral printed items.  There's also some gorgeous dresses in this same print and fabric that I'm also eyeing.  If I were to make a huge splurge this summer, it would be on this.

H&M has been stepping up their game lately with some absolutely gorgeous pieces like this tulle gown.  They've also been hiking up their prices, which is kind of annoying, but this stunner looks absolutely worth the coins.  This floaty number is light and perfect for any summer formal event and could carry on throughout the year to various parties.
