A Pizza Party {with Flatout}

{find the recipes below!}
Flatbread is like pizza's elegant cousin.  I often order flatbread at a restaurant when I'm in the mood for pizza, since it's less messy and easier to pick up.  And I love whipping up my own at home!  You can go crazy with the toppings or keep it simple, use fancy ingredients, or make an easy and basic recipe, and usually it'll taste great either way.

Flatout makes a line of flatbreads with an assortment of styles ranging from artisan thin pizza crusts, fun "foldit" buns, and classic wrap style flatbreads.   They even come in fun flavors, like rosemary, garlic, or black pepper.  And they are all delicious and healthy!

The kind team over at Flatout sent a few of their flatbreads for me to try out, and I'm happy to say that I loved them all.  Now I have some fun recipes for you guys!  There's something for anyone: whether you're in the mood for a Neopolitan flatbread pizza, a delicious burger, or even nachos.

All the recipes are vegetarian, and can be made vegan.  Enjoy!

A Perfect Tote

When I first saw this on Nordstrom.com, I knew I had to have it.  This tote is my new favorite.  And here's why.

It's reversible.  Mine is mint and cognac.  It comes in an assortment of color combos, and surprise, I want all of them.  (blush pink and tan, anyone?)

It's simple.  The design is minimalistic: just a simple tote that can flip in and out.  No interior pockets, but it comes with a detachable wristlet which can act as one.

It's holds ALL the things.  It's huge.  I carry around way too much stuff, and this enables me to do so.  I can fit in a laptop, multiple notebooks, files, my planner, a makeup bag, my phone, my camera, and my wallet.

The quality is amazing.  I was so surprised with the great quality.  It's built to last, and the vegan leather is supple, smooth, soft, and really pretty.

It's $48.  Yes, really.  This was the icing on the cake.  This tote is a total steal that I know I'll be using it for a long time.

Thank you, Street Level, for my latest obsession!

Hingham and Herringbone

Sweater: J. Crew (similar)    Jeans: Paige     Boots: Sperry    Bracelet: Kiel James Patrick

This is sort of my obligatory "first outfit of fall" post.  Yay, fall!  My favorite season of the whole year, undoubtedly.  I just love when the leaves change color, and the air gets crisp.

Herringbone has always been one of my favorite prints.  J. Crew undoubtedly does the best herringbone pieces (like the famous excursion vest).  I love this merino wool sweater so much, it's definitely kept me cozy and warm, but still looks polished.  And the jeweled peter pan collar?  The perfect touch of sparkle, no necklace required!

These Sperry Hingham boots are a favorite in my boots collection.  They're high boots, which make me look *a little bit* taller.  Gotta love that!  These are great for keeping your feet warm as well, since they have the quilted exterior and fleece interior.  I bought a pair of Hunters because they were waterproof and I thought they would be great winter boots, but they do NOT keep the chill off your toes.  So these are great for when it's cold, since they are both waterproof and warm.

Classy Halloween Decor

The Pumpkin Staircase
Halloween sneaks up on me every year, and I'm always left with a very small time span to prepare.  I always rush to get a costume figured out for my parties, decorate a pumpkin, and infuse some holiday elements in the house.  This year I'm trying to start early!  I already have a costume figured out, but that's a secret that will be revealed October 31st ;-).

Holiday parties are my favorite, because you really get a chance to wow people with your decor.  Most people think Halloween decorations, and the word classy doesn't exactly come to mind.  But I'm not a fan of those artificial spiderwebs or skeletons, either!  Fake spiderwebs are messy, and let's be honest, do you really want spiderwebs, fake or not, all over your house?

I'm ready to infuse some chic and classy Halloween decorations into the party, and I can't wait to try my hand at a few fun DIYs.  Here's a few inspirations and ideas that I'm so excited to try!

A bowl of black roses is dark but dainty.
Delicate black lace over a matte white pumpkin is an instant glamorous touch.
And some cute pumpkin cakes to match!
Using glass bottles as candle holders is a unique and rustic detail that looks eerily amazing on Halloween.  (source)

Lush and Blush

 Sweater: H&M (similar)    Skirt: Ted Baker (similar)    Bag: Tory Burch
Shoes: Manolo Blahnik    Necklace: Max & Chloe

This eyelash knit sweater was sitting in a drawer for a while, because I didn't know how to wear it.  For a bit, I just wore it around the house because it was SO soft.  I kind of felt like a pink Sesame Street character wearing it.  So it was kind of relegated to loungewear-only.

One morning, I was getting dressed.  I had worn the sweater to bed the night before (I'm not kidding, it's that comfy!) and I put on a skirt that I was wearing with a different sweater for work.  Before I had a chance to switch sweaters, I looked in the mirror.  BOOM.  Less like Elmo, more like Elle Woods.

The eyelash outfit opportunities are endless- Pink eyelash sweater + floral skirt = girly outfit.   Black eyelash sweater + dark wash skinny jeans + high boots = city chic.  The list goes on!  Treat the texture like you would a cable knit or chunky fisherman knit- still a sweater, just a bit unique!

{Links} Start of Autumn

Fall is official sweater season!  I love this fair isle number.

When Caroline reached out to me about the launch of her new jewelry line, I had so much fun browsing the collection!

Brave the autumn weather with boots!  Whether it's raining or not...

You need socks to go with your boots, right?

I am so obsessed with this bag.
