Blossoms on Black // Late Summer Blooms

Romper: H&M Coachella // Bag: Harrods London // Shoes: Lulu's // Choker: Francesca's // Lips: Ofra Cosmetics x MannyMUA in Hypno

Long time, no post!  I'm sorry for the weeklong gap in posting- I'm trying, I swear!  This past week has been absolutely insane and jam-packed with a ton of major events: some fun, some less than fun.  I'm sitting here at 10 PM on a Sunday, typing up this post right now, because I really want to update you all on all the major stuff that's happened in the past week.

My fall semester started on Tuesday.  I'll admit, the first day was a little rocky.  I'm pushing myself harder than I ever have with my courses this year, and I'm already feeling the brunt of the workload.  But oddly, despite having literally no time to relax or do anything fun, I'm kind of liking that constant feeling of being busy.  Do I miss not being stressed out 24/7?  Yeah, totally.  But it kind of feels good to be productive and turn up my work ethic.  To cap off the business that was this week, I started at my new internship on Saturday.  I absolutely love it!  Thankfully it's pretty flexible to my schedule so I can work around classes and other obligations.  So yeah, that's how busy I've been this week!

Happy Monday loves!  Here's to another productive (and hopefully all smooth sailing) week!

Blushing Bow Bridge // Central Park, NYC

Skirt: H&M // Top: Topshop // Shoes: DIY Vegan Louboutin Heels {I followed this tutorial} // Bag: Stella McCartney

It's my last week here at college in New York, and just looking at these pictures I took in the first week is bittersweet to me.  I've fallen in love with this city, even though I've only seen a glimpse of it, and I hope that in a few years I'll return here for school again.

I fell in love with this skirt when I saw it at H&M on 5th Avenue.  It seemed like such a princess moment, and it made me feel amazing wearing it.  My friend actually agreed that I looked like one of those jellyfish from Finding Nemo in my skirt.  I wanted to go for a haute couture kind of shoot, so we strolled through Central Park to Bow Bridge, one of the most beautiful sights in Manhattan.

I always loved the look of Christian Louboutin heels, but all of his shoes are leather, which I don't wear.  I decided to make my own red bottomed heels with a simple pair of Marc Fisher heels and some red paint.  Call it tacky all you want, but I think that being able to obtain that look without harming animals or spending a buttload of cash is amazing.

Fifth Avenue Ingenue

Top: Madewell {similar} // Skirt: Urban Outfitters {similar} // Flats: J. Crew {similar} // Bag: Celine 'Nano' dupe by Dailylook

I'm writing this on day four in New York City.  Despite some occasional twinges of homesickness, I'm loving this beautiful city.  Manhattan is full of adventures at every turn.  These pictures are from 5th Avenue, right by the Met and Central Park, on one of my first times exploring outside of Morningside Heights, the area where my campus is.  I can't wait to share more pics with you all!

I know that I can't really give a full list of favorite things in the city quite yet.  I found two amazing and vegan-friendly spots for food in the city- I absolutely love Sweetgreen salad bar and Souen Macrobiotic restaurant.  Tomorrow I'm visiting Yale University's campus, and this weekend I'm going to try and hit up the Met and possible do some shopping.  What are your plans this weekend?  And if you have any recommendations in Manhattan, please let me know!
