Long time, no post!  I'm sorry for the weeklong gap in posting- I'm trying, I swear!  This past week has been absolutely insane and jam-packed with a ton of major events: some fun, some less than fun.  I'm sitting here at 10 PM on a Sunday, typing up this post right now, because I really want to update you all on all the major stuff that's happened in the past week.

My fall semester started on Tuesday.  I'll admit, the first day was a little rocky.  I'm pushing myself harder than I ever have with my courses this year, and I'm already feeling the brunt of the workload.  But oddly, despite having literally no time to relax or do anything fun, I'm kind of liking that constant feeling of being busy.  Do I miss not being stressed out 24/7?  Yeah, totally.  But it kind of feels good to be productive and turn up my work ethic.  To cap off the business that was this week, I started at my new internship on Saturday.  I absolutely love it!  Thankfully it's pretty flexible to my schedule so I can work around classes and other obligations.  So yeah, that's how busy I've been this week!

Happy Monday loves!  Here's to another productive (and hopefully all smooth sailing) week!

Powerscourt Gardens // Ireland Day Four

Dress: Banana Republic {similar here} // Coat: H&M {similar here} // Shoes (): Wills Vegan Shoes // Bag: Matt & Nat {color match to mine here} // Other Bag: Stella McCartney // Lips: Charlotte Tilbury

Powerscourt Gardens- one of my favorite things that we visited in Ireland.  It's a gorgeous estate with a garden that I would call the Versailles of Ireland.  Just outside of Dublin, Powerscourt's grounds are surrounded by its own small town (so charming) and this stunning garden.

This is the only dress that I brought to Ireland, and it was by far the chilliest outfit I wore the whole time, but I love this orange-red shirtdress.  If you're noticing in the close-up shots of the dress that I have a different bag from the other photos (one is the Matt & Nat Parabole bag, the other is Stella McCartney Noma Bucket, both vegan), that's because the close ups are from a different day and I wanted to throw them in there to show some details on the dress.  Full disclosure, in case you're confused!

I know it seems kind of crazy to wear heels for a day of walking and exploring the city, but I honestly didn't mind- I think that my feet are starting to become immune to shoe pain.  If you're a regular reader you know that these Wills Vegan Shoes block heels are my favorite pair of shoes ever and they are such a comfortable pair of heels.  They made me feel very "Downton Abbey" while walking through the stunning estate.

Terracotta & Navy Stripes

Top: J. Crew // Skirt: Express {similar} // Coat: Marc Jacobs (similar) // Bag (): 88 Handbags /Bracelet: Kiel James Patrick // Lips: Kat Von D in Lolita // Eyes: Urban Decay 'Naked Smoky' Palette

As you're reading this, I'm on an 11 hour flight to Dublin, Ireland.  This trip is something that I've been looking forward to for a long time, even through all the setbacks and reservations I have about it.  As I mentioned in my last post, I'm such an anxious flyer, especially for international flights, and this is the first one I've taken in a long time.  I also have so much work to do at home right now and I have a hard time dropping everything and taking some time off for this amazing vacation- it comes with the Type A territory, I guess.  Despite all that, the dominant emotion in this flurry of anxiety and worry is excitement, because Ireland is somewhere I've always wanted to visit.  Stay turned for pictures and outfits to come!

The pieces in this outfit are all currently in my suitcase.  Maybe not the most prudent choices for the trip, as Ireland is about 50 degrees right now and I'm a California girl, but I've been loving this skirt so much since lately.  Button front skirts are my favorite and this is a piece that transitions from fall to springtime.   I also love this off the shoulder striped top from J. Crew, and to finish off the nautical touches I added on my Marc Jacobs coat that I adore so much.
