Cat's Meow // Last-Minute Halloween Costume

 Romper: H&M (similar)      Shoes: Modcloth (similar)    Bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim x Target (similar)   Lips: Tarte in "Bae" {available here}

Happy Halloween, loves!  This H&M romper has been hanging in my closet for the longest time- and it finally met its purpose for this last-minute DIY Halloween costume.  This is probably the most half-baked costume I have ever put together (those cat ears are black pieces of cardboard bobby-pinned to my head), but I'm kind of obsessed with it.  I own a lot of black, so it was super easy to just pick out an all-black outfit, pin some ears to my head, draw on whiskers, and call it a night!

Do you guys have any special plans for Halloween?

Seafoam by the Seashore

 Dress: J. Crew      Shoes: BP     Sweater: H&M (similar)    Sunglasses: BP     Belt: H&M     Tights: Hue      Lips: Tarte in "Bae" {available here}

The style name of this dress is the "Seaside Cami Dress".  The color of this cardigan is seafoam.  This post was shot by the sea.  None of this was planned, I swear!  The universe has its ways.

My favorite part of this outfit is these BP shoes- I found them on a random trip through the Nordstrom's shoe section.  When I saw them, my heart raced and I was worried they wouldn't be vegan friendly, so I was even more happy when the lining said that they were totally leather-free.  They have a luxurious floral fabric outer and a chunky heel, and I've been loving them with everything.

You all know that I love a polka dotted dress.  I actually own this style in another print from J. Crew that I got a while ago- it's such a well-made dress and I love the cut.  Fortunately, this one that I'm wearing is still available in a few sizes on J. Crew Factory right now!

Lace on Lace // Bougainvillea Garden

Top: Forever 21 (similar here, and this tank here)      Skirt: H&M      Shoes: Wills London      Necklace: J. Crew {similar}     Sunglasses: SICKY Eyewear    Bag: 88

This blush pink lace crop top is something I bought with no particular vision in mind, I just knew I loved it (unfortunately it's no longer available, but I linked two similar ones above).  If you know me, you know that blush pink is my favorite color.  I knew I wanted to work this into some kind of formal outfit with a long skirt, and I thought, why not pair it with more lace?

I'm a huge fan of mixing prints, especially the same prints, so lace on lace seemed fair game.  I wanted to add a little sparkle and something to draw attention away from the cami underneath, so I layered on this floral lattice J. Crew necklace and just added on simple extras: my favorite 88 vegan bag, my favorite pair of shoes (from Wills Vegan Shoes), and my new go-to tort sunglasses.

I'm just starting to plan some holiday posts that will be coming soon to LMHC in the next two months, and I'm so excited to share them with you.  Hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend so far!

Autumn Orchards // Green Plaid + Giveaway

 Bag: Matt & Nat      Watch: JORD ℅       Skirt: J. Crew (similar)    Cardigan: Madewell (similar)     Boots: Hunter    Bracelet: Kristine Lily        Sunglasses: SICKY Eyewear    Belt: H&M     Tights: Hue

When fall rolls around, so does my favorite season of fashion.  I love breaking out my tall boots, warm knits, plaid, and rich colors.  I love playing with layering during this season and winter, and my layering trick year round is to nail it on the accessories that you pair with the clothes.  You can never go wrong with tall boots, for example (I'm wearing my trusty black Hunter boots), and I also added on my Matt & Nat 'Mini Mitsuko' bag in black.  Matt & Nat makes the most gorgeous minimalistic vegan bags!

I love the look of a button down under a sweater and one of my favorite layering techniques is rolling the sleeve of the button down over the sleeve of the sweater and adding a few things to my wrist to tie the outfit together.  I'm wearing my favorite bracelet from Kristine Lily and this gorgeous Zebrawood and Champagne women's watch from JORD.  Their have such a unique watch collection: their pieces are made of wood like this one and they have a variety of men's and women's pieces.  I was honestly stunned with the quality when I opened it (you may have seen my unboxing on my Instagram story- @juliacmazzucato)  A watch is such a smart piece and one of my favorite fall accessories, and these ones are definitely worth checking out.

Lady in Red // Bow Back Dress

Soprano Bow Back Fit and Flare Dress {for red, similar here and here}  Necklace: J. Crew {similar}     Bag: 88       Shoes: LC Lauren Conrad      Bracelets: Kate Spade      Lips: Tarte in "Bae" {available here}

As the holiday season approaches, I love getting dressed up in something fancy for a little taste of that holiday spirit.  You might remember this dress from my Things I Wish I'd Bought post two months ago: I managed to find it in the size I needed, and after a few nip-and-tuck alterations it was perfect!  I just love a festive red dress, and while this exact Soprano fit and flare is still available on Nordstrom in gorgeous blue, you can find an almost identical one by Alfred Sung here, or, if you're willing to splurge, a luxurious Emporio Armani here.

Since the back of the dress commands so much attention, you don't need a ton of accessories for a dress like this, but the front was relatively simple so I added my favorite floral lattice statement necklace from J. Crew for a little sparkle.  I also threw on my vegan leather Lauren Conrad heels and the Sophie ivory bag from 88.  And there's no look you can't make better with red lipstick- this Tarte shade is my signature that I use almost every day.

What is your go-to holiday look?
