Sparkle the Season

Sweater: Ralph Lauren (love this similar one)      Skirt: J. Crew     Coat: Shein       Necklace: Marley Lilly     Shoes: Kate Spade (similar)    Sunglasses: Polette  (similar)    Bracelet: Kristine Lily

Happy Cyber Monday!  I personally prefer today's sales over Black Friday, mostly because the whole point of it is that you can shop online, and you can do it in your pajamas.  And no waiting in line!  I'm in love with this pearl and gemstone statement necklace from Marley Lilly.  This necklace, along with a pair of matching earrings, is Marley Lilly's free Cyber Monday gift with a $50 purchase.  I'll be wearing this sparkler all season long to all my special occasions!

Now that Thanksgiving is officially over, it's finally holiday party time, and I couldn't be more excited! This is one of my go-to looks for the season.  I am wearing sheer tights in these pictures- I would be freezing without them!  Of course, the California girl in me thinks 60 degrees in freezing...

Happy holidays, everyone!  Let the holiday spirit be merry and bright.  :-)

*UPDATE*   I will no longer be associating with Shein in light of their unprofessionalism and rude treatment of paying customers.  I apologize for featuring this brand on LMHC without doing proper research.  I have found accounts from customers reporting their poor customer service and treating bloggers differently, and unfortunately, I recently experienced their unprofessional manner of communicating with bloggers.

Wrapped With Love

The holidays are right around the corner, and I've finally finished shopping for my family's and friends' gifts.  Last year it was down to the wire for me- I was scrambling around up until Christmas Eve to acquire and wrap everyone's presents on time!

Buying the gifts themselves can be pretty stressful for me, but wrapping them is one of the highlights of the process.  I love coming up with fun and creative ways to wrap my presents each year.  Today I'm sharing 3 special ways that I'm packaging up my gifts this year!

#1- Rustic Rose

This rose wrapping paper has been my go-to this year.  The color palette is more simple, which I love.  Instead of ribbon, I cut a thin strip of recycled brown paper to make a makeshift band, then I made a paper rose to add a pretty detail.  To make the rose, just cut out a circle from the brown paper and pinch it in the center, crimping it into a ruffly flower shape.  I cut out a tag from the brown recycled paper and wrote up a simple little tag as well.

This wrapping is elegant, minimalistic, and very easy, as well as more eco-friendly!  Use a recycled wrapping paper as well for an even greener gift.

#2- Monogrammed with a J

I designed these custom stickers with StickerApp, and I love using them on my holiday gifts!  StickerApp's design tool makes your stickers easily customizable, so I uploaded a background and my initial to make a monogrammed sticker.  I've been sticking them everywhere (like my laptop), but they were a huge part of my holiday gifts and Christmas cards this year.

What I love about using monograms on gifts is that they are easily distinguishable under the tree.  You don't even have to write who it's from on the label!  On this gift, I just added my sticker and a simple ribbon to my polka dot wrapping paper.

#3-  Red and Green + Rosemary

This is a classic color combination for Christmas, and looks so festive!  I just used green twine with my red and white wrapping paper, and my DIY gift tag cut from brown recycled paper.  For decoration, I added two sprigs of rosemary.  You can also use holly sprigs, pine, or any green herb.  As an added bonus, the gift smells amazing from the rosemary.

Happy Holiday season!  How are your wrapping your gifts this year, and what was your favorite wrapping of the ones above?

P.S.  The plaid blanket I'm sitting on is actually a blanket scarf from Marley Lilly.  It's free with an $100+ purchase until Sunday, and it comes in three colors!

Coat // Check

Coat: H&M       Skirt: Burberry     Bracelet: Kristine Lily      Shoes: Kate Spade (similar)     Sunglasses: Polette  (similar)      Ring: Kristine Lily

This coat is my latest favorite: it's nice and warm, has really spacious pockets, and it's under $40!  H&M has become one of my favorite places to browse when I'm at South Coast Plaza.  The H&M store is huge, and I've found that their clothing quality is on the rise.  This coat was a great find, and it's so well made and nicely structured.  I paired it with my favorite Burberry pleated skirt.  The whole skirt + tights + heels combo is one of my favorite petite styling tricks to help me look a little taller.

I've probably mentioned this a bazillion times before, but California weather in the fall/winter months is like a seesaw.  Just when I think we're settling into a nice cool temp, it shoots back up to the 80's.  My last outfit post was a summer Lilly dress, and this one is a peacoat with tights. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm in love with this druzy ring and bracelet from Kristine Lily.  They're super versatile pieces that can be worn casually or dressed up for a party.  I love how the druzy stone catches the light and provides a sparkly effect, and the minimalistic design of the jewelry keeps it super sophisticated.  I love the whole jewelry line, and I think that they would make amazing holiday gifts for your friends and family.

Hope you all have a blessed and peaceful Thanksgiving!

Get Nauti

Dress: Lilly Pulitzer     Clutch: Marley Lilly     Shoes: Franco Sarto     Sunglasses: Polette  (similar)      Necklace: Marley Lilly     Bracelet: Kristine Lily     Belt: Vintage Fossil

I can't believe it's nearing the end of November!  It certainly doesn't feel like it.  Summer seems like it was just yesterday.  And of course, in true California fashion, it still feels like summer weather over here.  This year breezed by fast, and I can't wait to ring in 2016!

This bracelet from Kristine Lily has been my newest favorite in my jewelry box.  I've worn it four times in the week since I received it in the mail, and it goes with pretty much everything!  It's amazing quality- definitely the best quality druzy jewelry I have every owned.  Their pieces would make amazing holiday gifts, and they have a ton of gorgeous colors and styles!  I'm in love with their rose pink pieces too.

This Lilly Pulitzer Carmine dress in "Get Nauti" is so easy to just throw on.  If I had to pick three favorite Lilly prints, this one would be in there, along with Pink Lemonade and You Gotta Regatta.  I don't typically go for t-shirt dresses, but the boatneck and relaxed silhouette combined with the fun print makes this a weekend fave.  I paired it with my favorite belt and monogrammed clutch and necklace from Marley Lilly.

Happy Thanksgiving week, everyone!  Hope you all have a relaxing and blessed holiday.

Winter with Warby Parker

Warby Parker is a wonderful eyewear company that designs high-quality, chic eyeglasses and sunglasses.  Not only do they make great glasses, but they also partner with nonprofits to run a "Buy a Pair, Give a Pair" action.  You can read all about their history and concept.

I was so excited when Warby Parker reached out to me to help introduce their Winter Eyewear collection.  I loved scrolling through the Winter Lookbook!

You can expect cool tones, clean lines, streamlined designs, sleek metallics, blue hues, and classic tortoiseshell in their winter line.  The winter designs are perfect for the season and feature a great mixture of both fun pieces and classics.  They would make amazing Christmas gifts!

Here's my three favorites from the line!
 The Dynamic Duo: "Chelsea" Glasses

Warby Parker also has the wonderful Home Try-On program where you can select 5 different frames to try out for 5 days.  Shipping is free both ways and it's a wonderful way to figure out which frames look great on your face shape and what designs suit you best!

I was sent my Home Try-On package filled with my 5 favorite frames, and I had so much fun trying them on.  Here's what I selected:

Piper // Raglan // Chelsea // Reilly // Banks

Tortoiseshell sunglasses have always been my favorite, but I love the variety of tortoiseshells Warby Parker carries.  The Piper, Ragland, and Reilly all came in various tortoise prints, and I loved trying them out!  The Piper frames were my favorites by far.

I don't wear glasses or contacts, but I also fell in love with the Chelsea optical frames from the Winter collection and couldn't resist ordering them in my Home Try-On.  The slight cat-eye effect is super fun and I love the rose-gold color.

Warby Parker's Winter Collection is definitely worth checking out, and I would also really recommend using their Home Try-On!  The Winter line is perfect for the colder seasons and features designs that don't look out of place in the snow.  I think they would make amazing Christmas presents, whether they are presents to your friends and family or to yourself.  😉

Thank you to Warby Parker for partnering on this post.  All opinions are my own.

Party Perfect for the Holidays

It's the most wonderful time of the year- holiday party season!  I love the chance to break out my favorite festive dresses, like the one above.  There's so many different great vibes to inspire a perfect outfit, whether you're going for classic elegance or a unique statement.

I've teamed up with Farfetch today to style three classy party outfits using stunning designer pieces!  Farfetch has some of my favorite high-end lines like Red Valentino, Oscar de la Renta, and DVF, and wonderful vintage from Chanel, LV, and more.  I love treating myself to a special piece every now and then, and there's no better time than the holidays!  Here's some of my favorite party-perfect looks for the season.

This look is a festive and flirty outfit with rich reds and a little hint of pink!  The a-line skirt of this jacquard dress is perfect for adding a bit of femininity and flair to a party outfit.  The coordinating ruby red heels with crystal embellishments and the glittering statement necklace both tie in with the red accents on the dress and add classy hints of sparkle.

Blush pink works surprisingly well with berry tones, so this coat is a perfect topper to add on if it is chilly.  The simple gold bangle adds to the look without taking attention away from the other accessories, and the leopard clutch ties it all together with a bit of added print and neutral color!

The little black dress is a classic, and this updated version incorporates an eye-catching bodice and a full midi skirt, which starts as a good base for a classy party look.   The glitter-covered golden heels and the sparkling statement on the clutch add the perfect touch of detail and luxe to the outfit.  The golden twisted pearl cuff and the double strand pearl necklace tie it all together for a glittery yet sophisticated party look.

This gorgeous DVF wrap gown has a stunning blue and white floral print that almost resembles porcelain to me.  I love pairing blue and white with blush pink, so this mini blush shoulder bag and bracelet add rosy accents.  The gold hardware on the bag coordinate with the gold heels and the necklace.  The large statement necklace adorns the v-neck area of the dress and adds visual interest to this formal party look!

Thank you to Farfetch for partnering on this post.

Polka Dots and Pearls

Blazer: J. Crew (similar)    Dress: H&M    Shoes: Tory Burch    Bag: Vintage Gucci
Necklace: J. Crew    Sunglasses: Polette ℅  (similar)    Belt: Vintage Fossil

Polka dots have got to be my favorite print by far- they are classic yet fun, and I love the preppy, feminine vibe they give.  This navy dress is something I picked up this summer to wear in the warm weather, but I never felt like wearing it out.  Just as I was about to give it away, I tried it on with a blazer and I discovered that it was perfect for work!

I love wearing dresses in the fall and winter with nude tights.  California weather usually only dips to that kind of weather in late November, so I've been donning my skirts and dresses without tights, but this outfit is easily adaptable to colder temps.

On another note, I'm getting so excited for the holiday season!  I'll be honest, I've been listening  to Christmas music since Halloween ended, but after Thanksgiving Day is when I break out my lights, ornaments, and holiday movies.  It's never too soon, right?

Happy Monday, everyone!
