This pizza is a classic- basil, tomato, and mozzarella work in perfect harmony together! I love all things mozzarella+tomato+basil, whether it's a fresh caprese or pasta with diced tomatoes and some basil leaves.
Simple Margherita Flatbread Pizza
serves 1
1/3 cup mozzarella shreds
4 basil leaves
1/2 roma tomato
Preheat your oven to 350 F. Sprinkle the mozzarella shreds on the flatbread pizza crust. Slice the tomato into circular pieces, and lay them on top of the cheese. Chiffonade the basil by rolling up all the leaves and slicing through them until you have thin ribbons. Sprinkle the basil over the top. Bake the flatbread in the oven for 16 minutes until the cheese is melted and the crust is crisp. Slice it up and enjoy!
