First off, sorry for the lack of posts in a week! It's been crazy flying back home, moving out of my dorm, and settling back into California, and I just didn't have content to post. I can't wait to come at you guys with the rest of my NYC outfits, and some new quality content! But for today, I'm posting my recap of the past month, one of the most magical and life changing months of my life.
I just got back from New York City, where I took classes at Columbia University and Barnard College for the summer, and got to experience living in the city. In today's post I wanted to share some of my favorite pictures from the month, and my favorite memories, from Coney Island to getting lost on the Subway.
This month was a whirlwind and it went by so quickly. It was amazing and I now know that I love the big city. I felt right at home in Manhattan, and coming back to my quiet little coast town in California, even though I missed it, was a shock to my system. I was scared I would hate city life, but I fell in love. I met so many amazing people in my classes and made some lifelong friends. And I had some awful moments too where I felt lost, homesick, hurt. Life isn't perfect all the time, and this magical month was no exception.
Still, this was the best month of my life. I learned so many valuable life lessons and found myself. This month helped me come out of my shell and break out of my introverted personality. Thank you to the beautiful people who I was blessed to connect with and make friends with. Thank you to Columbia and Barnard for being my wonderful home away from home. And thank you to you guys for being so supportive and kind through this whole journey. I love you, and I love New York.
