Roses in Late Summer // 70's Inspired Look

Top: Forever 21 // Skirt: Brandy Melville // Bag: Anthropologie // Sunglasses: BP // Shoes: BC Footwear {love these ones too} // Belt: H&M

I don't really have too much to say today!  Life has been pretty mundane- I've just been staying in, filming for my beauty channel (please check it out if you're interested in makeup!), and finishing summer assignments before my semester starts next week.  I do have to give a quick shout out to my sister, who I kind of swiped this top from for this outfit.  I love the 70's inspired vibes that these billowy sleeves are giving the whole look!  I did a 60's inspired look a few months back with the same skirt too.

Hope your Monday was lovely and you had a relaxing weekend!

Fifth Avenue Ingenue

Top: Madewell {similar} // Skirt: Urban Outfitters {similar} // Flats: J. Crew {similar} // Bag: Celine 'Nano' dupe by Dailylook

I'm writing this on day four in New York City.  Despite some occasional twinges of homesickness, I'm loving this beautiful city.  Manhattan is full of adventures at every turn.  These pictures are from 5th Avenue, right by the Met and Central Park, on one of my first times exploring outside of Morningside Heights, the area where my campus is.  I can't wait to share more pics with you all!

I know that I can't really give a full list of favorite things in the city quite yet.  I found two amazing and vegan-friendly spots for food in the city- I absolutely love Sweetgreen salad bar and Souen Macrobiotic restaurant.  Tomorrow I'm visiting Yale University's campus, and this weekend I'm going to try and hit up the Met and possible do some shopping.  What are your plans this weekend?  And if you have any recommendations in Manhattan, please let me know!

So I did some heavy duty shopping a weekend ago, and this blouse was one of my favorite purchases.  I always go into Madewell, which holds a place in my heart as probably one of my top 5 favorite stores ever.  I immediately fell in love with this button down bell sleeve eyelet top.  I thought it was so perfect for summer between the light cotton material and the eyelets, which make it super breathable and light.  If you're wondering what undergarments to pair with this, I just opted for a nude-toned bralette, and it worked perfectly.

As I type this, I'm getting ready to enter a really crazy few weeks.  Next week I have finals (wish me luck), and then the week after that I'm packing up and heading to New York for summer in college at Columbia.  I've been getting myself prepared and justifying a bunch of new clothing purchases for this trip, and I'm so excited to be back in the Big Apple.
