Aquamarine Palm Print

Dress: H&M (this print on shorts)    Sunglasses: Stella McCartney    Bag: 88     Belt: H&M    Lips: Tarte   Shoes: BP

This look is part 2 of my Summer in 88 Lookbook (see part 1 here).  Another one of my favorite outfits for summer is a maxi dress.  H&M and Anthropologie are always my first stops for a good maxi dress- they have the most gorgeous patterns and fits.  I've been seeing palm print all over the place recently, and this aquamarine hue brings a new twist to it.

I always have to wear wedges when I wear a long skirt or dress, because the hem will be dragging on the floor if I don't.  I've worn these wedges so often on the blog, and I just love them.  Between the height boost, neutral cork color, and fun strappy detail, they are one of my favorite pairs of shoes for summer.  I'm also loving mini bags for summer, because I don't like having to carry around a large bag.  This mini tote in tan vegan saffiano leather fits the bill perfectly, and it fits a lot more stuff than it appears to (there's a full water bottle in there!)

From the Lookout Point

Top: Aritzia (similar)    Skirt: Native Sol (similar)   Shoes: LC Lauren Conrad (similar)    Bag: 88   Sunglasses: Stella McCartney    Hat: H&M

This look is part of my Summer in 88 Lookbook, an upcoming collaboration I have with one of my favorite vegan brands, 88 Handbags.   I'm showcasing four summer looks with bags from their summer collection.   I'll be posting those outfits in succession, and then I'm super excited to release a fun project I've been working on with them.  Can't wait for you all to see it!

This skirt was bought at Long Beach Vegan Fest last month, where they had tons of artisans with booths selling gorgeous clothing items.  This brand makes eco-conscious pieces and is sold on Etsy.  They have gorgeous skirt and top sets, in fun tropical prints like this.  Supporting small and local businesses is the best, and I think you should do it when you can!

Hope everyone is having a great start to the week!

Ballerina Blush

Dress: Ted Baker     Shoes: LC Lauren Conrad    Bag: Ted Baker (similar)    Bracelet: Kiel James Patrick

I fell in love with this dress months ago while shopping in the Ted Baker store.  When I tried it on, I felt amazing.  It was perfect in every way- the length didn't look weird on me like other midi dresses do, and it had lace, scallops, and a bow belt.  I remember flipping over the skirt in the dressing room, trying to find the materials tag, praying 'please don't be silk', and being met with a confirmation that this dress was vegan friendly.

I have a problem where I grab things I like and try them on without looking at the price tag, and it's quite harmful.  Already in love, I checked the tag and was met with a glaring price at nearly $400.  Damn.  It was hard leaving the dress there that day, and I didn't forget about it.  When I found it on sale last week, it was almost too good to be true.  Not sure where I'll wear it, but the feeling I get when I put it on is too good to pass up.

FYI, Ted Baker is actually surprisingly vegan-friendly, and it's where I got the fabric clutch I paired with the dress.  This dress doesn't need much accessorization, so I just added a glass-pearl bracelet, neutral heels, a clutch in a coordinating color, and that was it!

White Eyelet + Panama Hat

Top: Kate Spade     Jeans: 7 for all Mankind    Bag: Anthropologie    Sunglasses: Stella McCartney    Hat: H&M     Shoes: Old Navy (similar, and only $12)    Lips: Tarte

I suppose this is my Fourth of July inspired outfit: white top, blue jeans, and red lip.  This matte lip paint from Tarte is my latest beauty favorite: it's kind of like Tarte's version of the Kylie Cosmetics mattes (albeit more expensive, and more in stock).  However, both are vegan and not tested on animals, so that's a win!

I snagged this white eyelet detail tee at the new Kate Spade store at South Coast Plaza.  If you're in SoCal, definitely stop by this Kate Spade: it's the biggest location I've ever been in.  I love eyelet in summer, and this tee is the perfect fusion of casual and dainty details.  It's currently on sale at katespade.com!

Happy Fourth of July weekend!  Anyone got some fun plans for the holiday?

My Current Wishlist ~ 5 Favorites

Gunas New York 'Flamingo' Bag-  I'm in love with Gunas' bags, but this chic, streamlined shoulder bag is my favorite by far.  It comes in so many gorgeous colors, like this mint hue!  Gunas is 100% vegan and sweatshop-free, and their collection is full of colorful and leather-free Kate Spade-esque designs.

Modcloth 'It Only Goes to Showcase' Dress-  The delicate floral print of this midi dress makes it perfect for a summer wedding or garden party.  Although I wouldn't need either of those as a reason to buy this!

Deux Lux Weekenders-  Deux Lux is one of my favorite 100% vegan bag companies, and I love them for both their gorgeous designs and ethical practices.  The beautiful bag above is the Rivington Weekender, but I've got my eye on this Crosby Braided Duffel.

Public Desire Clear Heeled Shoes-  Clear heels are getting more attention and will be a huge trend this fall.  I love Public Desire's options via ASOS.  The booties linked above and these strappy heeled sandals are my favorites of the current releases!

Marysia 'Mott' Halter Scalloped One Piece-  I love Marysia's scallop detail swimwear, and there's something undeniably chic about a black one piece.  This number gives the classic a little update with a scalloped neckline!
