Pumpkins and Pearls

Dress:  Ruby and Bloom (similar)   Rings: Tiffany's

Audrey Hepburn, of course!  I was excited to dress up this year as the lovely Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany's!   All you need are a few classic pieces, which I already had in my closet!  Of course, Holly's outfit wouldn't be complete without her poor nameless cat.  I would have featured my  real little orange kitty, but he was squirming and didn't want to be photographed!
But here's my other orange kitty: this pumpkin!  Isn't it adorable?  It's a tuxedo kitty, made of a petite pumpkin, a larger pumpkin, some buttons, ribbon, wire, and paper!  So cute!

Happy Halloween, everyone!

My Pink Polo Pony

Pin: Ralph Lauren    Belt: Ann Taylor (similar)    Dress: Forever 21   Shoes: Tory Burch
 Bag: Kate Spade     Necklace: Francesca's

I love the Pink Pony Pin from Ralph Lauren.  $4 of the proceeds from each pin go to the Pink Pony Fund of Polo Ralph Lauren, which supports initiatives for cancer care and prevention.  It's such a cute little pin, and it's for a great cause!

It's A Bowtiful Life

Dress: Francesca's (in orange)   Shoes: Tory Burch    Pins: Topshop

I had a bit of a Cher Horowitz moment when I tried on this dress at Francesca's on Saturday.  Anyone else remember the red dress?  I simply love the bow detail on the back, a bow always adds a bit of sweetness to any outfit!

Interview with Kacie of Kacie's Kloset

Meet Kacie, the lovely blogger of Kacie's Kloset!

Kacie answered a few questions about her blog, her style, and her life in California.

1.  What season is your favorite to shop for?
Fall!  Summer is my least favorite season so when it finally starts to cool down, I get so excited!  Wearing scarves and sweaters and boots is my favorite.  I just wish fall would come a little sooner... where I live it's still 90 degrees in October.

2.  What stores do you shop at the most?
I shop at TJ Maxx and Marshalls all the time.   I love finding quality pieces for amazing prices.  I also love to shop at Nordstrom.  You can find anything you're looking for there.

3.  What is something in your closet you could never live without?
My dark wash skinny jeans.  I love them!  If I could wear them every second of the day, I would.  Unfortunately, they need to be washed every once in a while, so I can't wear them 24/7.

4.  Define your style in three words.
Polished, Relaxed, and Classic.

5.  Who or what inspires you the most?
My family inspires me the most.  They are so supportive and encouraging in everything that I do.

6.  Where would you love to travel right now?
I would love to travel any place where I can swim with a manatee.  They are my favorite animal and it has always been my dream to swim with one.  I'd also love to go to the Maldive Islands, Scotland, New Zealand, Hawaii, and the Carolinas.

7.  As a fellow Cali girl, I have to ask this one:  What's the absolute best part of living in California?
The best part of living in California is that we have a bit of everything here; the ocean, mountains, desert, city, country life, etc.

Thank you Kacie!

Autumnal Essentials

Sweater:  French Connection    Coat: Coach    Jeans:  Hudson   Boots: Tory Burch
Scarf: Coach    Navy Jacket:  J. Crew

My Five Fall Essentials
1.  When the leaves change to gold and the air goes cold, I always enjoy breaking out my plaid scarves for fall.  Cozy cashmere or wool scarfs are perfect for adding a luxurious feel to a preppy autumn plaid pattern.

2.  Finding a beautiful new pair of riding boots always gets me excited.  Tory Burch and Frye make my favorite boots in beautiful leather, and a wonderful pair is always worth splurging a little extra on.

3.  A cozy sweater for the colder seasons in always a must for me.  I love sweaters with a cute detail like my French Connection knit.  Layering a button down under it is so cute, and perfect for autumn.

4.  One perfect pair of jeans is always an essential in a girl's closet.  I love a pristine dark wash, and my favorite pairs come from Ralph Lauren, Hudson, and 7 for all Mankind.  A great fit and quality is always worth it.

5.  A go-with-everything coat will more than fulfill its fall duties.  Navy and black are always safe investments, but a fun color is always fresh and bright.   J. Crew makes some lovely styles that are great quality, and I love this colorful plaid coat from Coach.
