Summer Essentials

A floppy hat is perfect for shading yourself from the sun and looking great all summer long!
This picture from Classy Girls Wear Pearls features one of my favorite dresses this season, the Vineyard Vines Silk Nautical Signal Print Dress (far right).  I am also loving Sarah's Banana Republic number.
I am in love with the Lilly Pulitzer Tusk in Sun print, and in Bright Navy, it goes with so many things!  Kelly in the City is wearing this season's Eliza dress.  Check out the Captiva Tunic Cover Up!
Vera Bradley prints are bright and beautiful.  I love their towels and throw blankets!
The J. Crew Embroidered Gauze collection is just perfect for relaxing days at the beach.
Jack Rogers will always be a classic.  My favorites are the Palm Beach Platinum Navajo Sandals.
There's nothing like a beautiful vintage dress to add a feminine touch to your typical summer dress.  I found a updated one at Goodnight Macaroon.

Queen Emma's Summer Palace

Top: Maison Jules   Skirt: Madewell (last seen here)   Shoes: Jack Rogers
Bag: Gucci   Belt: Vintage    Bangles and Necklace:  Gift   Nail Polish:  Essie//Ballet Slippers

Queen Emma's Summer Palace, or Hānaiakamālama in Native Hawaiian, is a stunning sight to see.  The Daughters of Hawaii have preserved and cared for the property over many years, and the home is open to the public.  Photography was not allowed inside the palace, but it was beautiful inside the queen's summer home.  If you are ever on Oahu, I highly recommend a visit.

Under the Honolulu Sun

Bracelet: Kiel James Patrick

One of the best places to explore in Honolulu is Waikiki.  Lovely shops line Kalakaua Avenue and there are so many great spots to get a something delicious to eat or drink.  I especially loved the iced coffee at Island Vintage Coffee.  Amazing places to see in Waikiki include the Luxury Row, Waikiki Beach, and Moana Surfrider Hotel.

Manoa Tea House

Dress:  MaxStudio   Shoes: Manolo Blahnik   Clutch: Anthropologie
Bracelet: Tiffany's (similar at Swarovski)   Tea Venue: Manoa Tea House

The Wai'oli Tea Room serves an amazing high tea service, and the stunning views of Manoa Valley from the tea house were lovely.  I particularly enjoyed the tropical green tea and scones.
I'm also trying out a shorter haircut for this summer.  It's just three inches off, but I'm excited to try out something new!
